PERSONAL STATEMENT REVIEW — $400
This review is for students who have final drafts of their applicatio materials and who want an expert perspective and the constructive, actionable feedback they need to help them improve their essay and give them the confidence to click Submit. This review includes feedback on:
- The personal statement (or UC PIQs)
- The Activities List
- The Honors/Awards section
- The Additional Information section
- Supplemental essays for one school
I'll evaluate already-written essays for insight, values, style, and more to ensure the final draft hits the mark, providing detailed inline editing feedback and a Loom video review. Then, students and I meet via Zoom (if desired) for a 30-minute session to review feedback, ask and answer questions, and discuss next steps. Please allow 3 business days for the completed review.
Reviews for additional schools' supplemental essays can be added on for an additional fee.
- 2-school review: $525
- 3-school review: $650
- 4-school review: $775 (or consider my 5-hour package)
Billing Details: Payment is due in full at time of booking.
5-HOUR PACKAGE — $750
This hour-based package is designed for students who want more in-depth, ongoing support as they tackle the many pieces of the written college application. The five hours can be used flexibly — whether students want to dive deep into their personal statement, spread out sessions for multiple supplemental essays, or mix and match different parts of the application process.
We can use this time to work asynchronously and over Zoom on:
- Brainstorming and outlining essay ideas
- Drafting and revising the personal statement or supplemental essays
- Receiving detailed feedback on structure, voice, tone, and grammar
- Polishing resumes and activities lists
- Strategically completing the Additional Information section
- Reviewing the Common App for clarity, cohesion, and consistency
- Creating or editing student resumes
- Drafting and editing letters of continued interest
Some students use these hours to go from “no idea where to start” to in-process drafts. Others use them to refine and elevate what they’ve already written.
Billing Details: Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
END-TO-END PERSONAL STATEMENT + APPLICATION COACHING — $1,500
Unlimited Hours
This package is for the student who wants help identifying a strong, meaningful topic for their personal statement and guidance and support in developing that essay. After the student completes brainstorming assignments on their own, we'll begin meeting via Zoom to:
- Discuss the patterns, values, and stories the brainstorming reveals
- Complete additional brainstorming and freewriting activities as needed
- Explore potential essay structures
- Choose a personal statement topic
- Structure and outline the personal statement
- Work on the Activities List, Additional Information, and Honors/Awards sections
- Review the student's college list and applicable supplemental essays and identify high-level topics for each
Please note: School-specific supplementals are not included in this package. See the Supplemental Essay Add-On below for that service.
Moving forward, we'll collaborate to transform that brainstorming work from a rough draft to a submission-ready essay. I'll provide access to sample essays, weekly async edits/feedback, weekly Zoom meetings, and other resources that will help students confidently move forward. Working closely with students via Zoom and Google Docs, I'll help them refine their essays by fine-tuning content; improving theme and flow; and identifying grammar, spelling, and sentence structure issues.
Because this is a fixed-price package, there are no hour counts to keep track of or confusing packages to worry about. We'll work as long as it takes for the student to create an application they're proud to submit.
Billing Details: A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The balance is billed one month after the initial invoice date.
SUPPLEMENTAL ESSAY ADD-ON — $500/SCHOOL
Unlimited Coaching Hours for School-Specific Supplementals
This add-on is available only to students working with me on the End-to-End Coaching Package and who are applying to schools that require supplemental essays alongside the personal statement.
Once we've completed the personal statement (going through everything in the End-to-End Coaching package), we'll take advantage of the completed brainstorming work the student has already done to explore and craft supplemental essays that avoid overlap with the personal statement and showcase new sides of the student. Many schools frequently use similar supplemental essay prompts, so we'll also identify opportunities to use the same (or modified) essays for multiple schools, even if we're not working together on them. Students will finish with completed essays and a solid understanding of how to research, structure, and write other supplemental essays.
If students are applying to a college that encourages a resume (e.g., UT-Austin), we will also work together to create their student resume.
Billing Details: A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The second 50% will be due one month after the initial invoice date. Students can add additional schools at any time during our work together.
